H.F.S. Morgan’s original intention was to produce a cheap, economy car. The basic design of the first Morgan was incorporated in all cars until 1932 with a light tubular frame with a front mounted V-twin motorcycle type engine. Refinements such as front wheel brakes and underslung rear springs were added over the years. The three wheeler was a two speeder until about 1932, then changed to a three speeder, with reverse gear. Despite the original intention of economy the power to weight ratio lent itself to competition work. They often achieve 120mph or more, and regularly give more modern & powerful cars a run for their money.
